World Book Day
2nd March 2017
On Thursday 2nd March we celebrated World Book Day again with some of our pupils taking the opportunity to get dressed up as a character from one of their books. We had a Roald Dahl themed day, with George’s Marvellous Medicine read by the late Rik Mayall on Jackanory played in five parts throughout the day and a Roald Dahl inter house quiz at the end of the day in front of the whole school. In mixed year teams, our children were fantastic with their answers, however it was Blake who were the outright winners! We had a book swap taking place in school too, so thank you to everyone who took part in that and to top it all off we had a ‘Where’s Wally?’ competition to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the popular publication. We had a number of children who correctly found Wally on a picture in our main reception area (and avoided the decoys around school), but it was Mia Foster in Year 5 who won our competition. Well done.
