Year 8 Visit to Mosque

2nd March 2017

On Thursday 2nd March, Year 8 went to visit Newcastle Central Mosque.  They were shown around by the Imam (the person who leads prayers at the Mosque) and identified some of the key features of the building.  The pupils then asked lots of questions and found out more about the religion, Islam.  It was very interesting discovering other people's beliefs and gaining a more in depth understanding.  The Imam commented on how well the children engaged and the quality of their questions.  A lot of pupils were surprised by how much they enjoyed the visit.  After a thoroughly enjoyable time, pupils wished we could have stayed longer!
